Ontological model for the acoustic management in a smart environment

Purpose The Reflective Middleware for Acoustic Management (ReM-AM), based on the Cloud Learning Environments (AmICL), aims to improve interaction between users and agents in a Smart Environment (SE) using acoustic services, order consider unpredictable situations due sounds vibrations. middleware allows observing, analyzing, modifying interacting every state of SE from acoustics. This work details an extension ReM-AM ontology-driven architecture (ODA) paradigm management. Design/methodology/approach In this paper are defined different domains knowledge required management SEs, which modeled ontologies. Findings proposes acoustics sound ontology, service-oriented (SOA) data analytics autonomic computing together. Finally, presents three case studies context smart workplace (SWP), ambient-assisted living (AAL) Cities (SC). Research limitations/implications Future works will be development algorithms classification analysis events, help with emotion recognition not only speech but also random separate events. Also, other about definition implementation requirements, real modeling requirements develop prototype. Practical implications is possible observe flexibility that ODA has by being aware contexts acquire information each, adapt itself environment it cycles.
